During this three-day comprehensive course, you will learn the practical tools for implementing Lean Portfolio Management, covering Strategy, Investment Funding, Agile Portfolio Operations, and Lean Governance. You will use the Portfolio Canvas tool to capture current and future states, identify key initiatives, establish flow with Portfolio Kanban, and prioritise for maximum economic benefit. Gain insights into Value Stream Budgets, Lean Budget Guardrails, and measurement of Lean portfolio performance.

Learning Outcomes

The SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) course equips participants with the following knowledge:

  • Describe the importance of LPM.
  • Connect the portfolio to enterprise strategy.
  • Implement Lean budgeting and guardrails.
  • Establish portfolio flow with the Portfolio Kanban.
  • Support operational excellence with APMO and CoPs.

The course is welcome to all, regardless of experience, but the following prerequisites are highly recommended for the SAFe® Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) 6.0 certification exam:

  • Familiarity with Agile concepts and principles
  • Attended a Leading SAFe® or SAFe® POPM course.
  • Experience working in a SAFe environment.
